“The foundation, in addition to its awareness and prevention activities, is working to establish a limited research opportunity. Our research priorities include epidemiological studies on various local, yet prevalent diseases. Asthma and other respiratory allergies are among the five selected diseases for our study. We aim to gather local experience and epidemiological data for collaboration and presentations.

Currently, we have installed an environmental monitoring system called Burkard volumetric spore traps to collect regional outdoor allergic sensitizers (aeroallergens). This data is much needed in our country for awareness and prevention purposes.”
